Are you freakin' out 'cause it's Friday the 13th?
Sometimes what we fear the most will happen. We're walking around afraid of something so it's almost like we're looking for it, expecting it. When it does, I think it's just God's way of reminding us that fear and faith are complete opposite! We need to be trusting in Him. The story of a man named Job in the Bible gives us a great example. Thankfully his faith won out and in the end what he lost was restored.
According to folklore today is supposed to be "unlucky" because it's Friday the 13th. It's called superstition. Just for fun I looked that up, because i don't believe in "bad luck" or base my behavior on avoiding superstitious activities.

"...a belief or notion, not based on reason or knowledge..."
So what makes typically intelligent people go nuts over avoiding things or being afraid of actions that are supposedly bad luck?
The fear around the date on today's calendar was much earlier than the hockey mask horror movie dude. An Italian composer named Gioachino Rossini, at the time of his death, was surrounded by admiring friends; apparently many Italians regarded Fridays as an unlucky day and thirteen as an unlucky number, it is remarkable that one Friday 13th of November he died!

Try it! Trust God today."What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me." Job 3:25.
