BRR! We actually got some snow flurries in our area the day after Christmas. (Don't believe it? Check out this video!) Time to make something good and hot for dinner, without standing in the kitchen all afternoon.
Many years ago this was my attempt at trying to make something that was on the menu at Olive Garden and it's one of my favorite things to do with leftover ham. The amounts aren't exact, but there are similar recipes available here.
Cook 1 package cheese tortellini according to the directions. Drain and return to pan, covering with a jar of alfredo sauce. Mix in diced ham and frozen peas (and if you like mushrooms - a small can of them or a handful of fresh sliced are great additions). Heat through and serve with a salad and garlic bread. You'll think the Olive Garden came to your house!
